Over 300 million euros will be invested to build 4 new five-star hotels in Gran Canaria.
Two of them, built by a German entrepreneur, will be located at Pasito Blanco. East of Faro de Maspalomas is the RIU's beachfront hotel that, according to the approved project, will be redeveloped with the construction of a 450-room five-star hotel. The last new tourist resort, to be lifted at Meloneras, will consist of several luxury villas offering the convenience of a hotel service.
The Canarian government considers this investment of strategic importance to Gran Canaria, since it will generate around 2,200 extra hotel beds and almost 1000 permanent jobs.
