Among the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria is the destination chosen by 32,5% of German tourists to spend their holidays, and this number is increasing.
Antonio Morales, president of Gran Canaria, was present at the world’s leading travel trade show ITB Berlin 2016, where the island was represented as a tourist destination. At this event, he stated that TUI, the main tour operator for the German tourism market on Gran Canaria, has already recorded a 16% increase in its summer sales.
