AIDAdiva and MSC Poesía cruises will make their first stop in Las Palmas in mid-April.
According to the Tourism Observatory of Las Palmas and the Port of Las Palmas, the new cruise traffic will increase the estimated total of passengers. The Port of Las Palmas has become the regular base for the AIDA cruises — AIDAblu and AIDAsol are already common in the city, while AIDAdiva (consigned by Hamilton & Co.) will start its scale in the capital of Gran Canaria in the first half of April.
Also MSC Poesía, a ship with a capacity of up to 3,000 passengers, will also drop anchor in the capital, thus confirming the growing presence of MSC shipping company in the Port of Las Palmas. The luxurious Star Legend (with capacity for only 200 passengers) will be another recreational boat to stop at the port.
Every Saturday, at 12 p.m., there will be performances of folk groups in Parque Santa Catalina, near the Tourism Office, and on Sundays, at the same time, in Pueblo Canario.
