Touring South to West - Pasito BlancoStarting our journey further west at the lighthouse in Maspalomas, which marks the southernmost point in Europe, we drive past the tourist resort of Playa de las Meloneras and arrive at the marina of Pasito Blanco.
Due to its isolated location approximately 6 km (some 3.2 miles) west of Maspalomas, this modern yacht marina, incorporating a sailing school and a private camping site, dates back to the turn of the millennium. With the gate to the marina guarded 24 hours a day, Pasito Blanco’s a secure place to leave a boat unattended for long periods. You’ll also be able to find big-game fishing charters here. The approach and entrance to the marina are straightforward and Pasito Blanco Marina (Club de Yates de Pasito Blanco) maintains a 24-hour listening watch on VHF channel 12. On arrival, the skipper should report to the port office during office hours: 09.00-13.00 and 15.00-17.00 hrs Monday to Friday and 09.00-13.00 hrs on Saturday, tel. 928 142194. All berths feature supplies of water and electricity which are included in the charges. There are hot water showers and toilets on the outer wharf and showers are also available in the boatyard. As usual, long-term rates are considerable lower than the daily rate and there is a 30% discount for stays over 6 months. The marina can provide a caretaker service for yachts laid-up afloat. |
