Maspalomas
Some consider it the most beautiful of all the fantastic beaches of the island. And we understand why. Long beaches with fine white sand backed by vast, wind-sculpted dunes, set against the blue sea, wait for you all year round. The disadvantage of this amazing natural beauty is that this area is often very crowded, especially where the sun beds are located.
You'll find this beach divided into four areas: the first perfect for families and kids, the second and the fourth usually designated nudist beaches and the third is the most popular for the gay community.
Like Playa del Inglés, this beach also provides all the infrastructures you would look for to enjoy a fabulous day at the beach inclusive of all sports and leisure facilities you can imagine as well as lots of beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Should you get tired of the beach or if you caught too much sun and need to get out if it! there is much more entertainment and fun to be found in the nearby surroundings or just a few kilometres north of Maspalomas with attractions such as the Aquasur, (biggest water park on the island), the Holiday World (extensive amusement park with a Ferris wheel), Palmitos Park (ornithological park with aquarium, butterfly house and orchids), Sioux City (Wild West theme park), and the fascinating Mundo Aborigen (Aboriginal world theme park).
Maspalomas beach is a true paradise for all beach and fun lovers, for families with children as well as for sun worshippers, especially if you want to get away from the cold north European winter!
