Low-cost airline Vueling has announced that, once a week in winter season, it will connect the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife with Lyon, France. Tickets are already available in all Vueling channels (web, app and travel agencies) for flights from October 29th, 2017 onwards (Tenerife) and from November 4th, 2017 onwards (Gran Canaria).
Airbus A320 airplanes, with capacity for 180 passengers, will depart from Tenerife South airport on Sundays at 07:30 (and from Lyon at 13:05), and from Gran Canaria on Saturdays at 06:00 (from Lyon at 11:40).
Vueling points out that Lyon is not the only new route for the next winter season from the Canary Islands, since there will also be domestic routes to Granada from Tenerife South and Gran Canaria, with two weekly flights for both cases, starting on December 4.
